Reclaiming Your Story: One Day Writing Workshop for Women
Facilitated by Sarah E. Murphy
Join Falmouth writer Sarah E. Murphy in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere, surrounded by a group of inspiring and supporting women. Bring your favorite journal or electronic device and leave your perfectionism and self-criticism at home. Using exercises from “Writing Down The Bones" by Natalie Goldberg and “The Artist’s Way" by Julia Cameron, we will explore ways to unleash creativity and overcome writer's block. We all have a story; it’s time to own yours.
Sarah is a freelance investigative journalist and worked for Wicked Local for 12 years.
A 1990 graduate of Falmouth High School, Sarah has been writing since childhood. She holds a degree in English and writing from Bridgewater State University, and she has studied writing and poetry at Northeastern University, Boston College, and the Boston Center For Adult Education. Sarah is a college essay writing instructor and previously taught poetry and creative writing workshops at Falmouth Public Library, Emerson House, and Celtic Bliss Gallery in Falmouth Heights.
Thursday July 28- 6:30PM $44. All course materials are provided.
