What IS a  Sound Bath??

A sound bath is a form of meditation that involves being bathed in sound waves and vibrations from various instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, chimes, and other musical instruments. The sounds are produced in a way that creates a soothing, therapeutic effect on the body and mind. The sound vibrations are believed to help calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being. During a sound bath, the participant is encouraged to focus on their breath and allow the sound to wash over them, creating a meditative state of relaxation and deep inner peace. It's a great way to take a break from the stresses of daily life and connect with oneself on a deeper level.

About your Sound Bath Facilitator

Craig has been a percussionist for most of his life and is a trained drum circle facilitator through Village Music Circles. He has also studied sound and meditation for healing with Zacciah Blackburn from the Center of Light Institute of Sound Healing and Lisa Ishwari Murphy from Fairhaven Healing Art Center. As a level 2 Reiki practitioner, Craig integrates Reiki  into his daily activities at the rehab center. Craig recently received certification as a wellness life coach from iPEC, the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching.

"I am usually highly sensitive to sounds and was unsure if I could actually enjoy this experience. I was so blown away by how relaxing and beautifully healing this was. Craig is a wonderful facilitator and really puts you at ease explaining how sound can be used for healing as well as guiding you with his calming voice into a relaxed state. After the session I felt so clear and focused. The pain I had in my knee as well as the headache I had was gone and my mood was so good.  I highly recommend trying this! Thank you Craig! "
