About the Event
Join Falmouth writer Sarah E. Murphy in a relaxed atmosphere, surrounded by a group of inspiring and supportive women. Bring your favorite journal or electronic device and leave your perfectionism and self-criticism at home.
This four-week class, using exercises from Natalie Goldberg’s “Writing Down The Bones,” and Julia Cameron’s “The Artist’s Way,” will explore topics and emotions such as grief, loss, and trauma through journaling, poetry, and creative non-fiction. We all have a story. It’s time to own yours.

About Sarah E. Murphy
After a 12-year career as a reporter for Wicked Local, Sarah is a freelance investigative journalist (falmouthstyle.com) who works with survivors of clergy sex abuse to help tell their stories. A 1990 graduate of Falmouth High School, she has been writing since childhood. She holds a degree in English and writing from Bridgewater State University and has studied writing and poetry at Northeastern University, Boston College, and the Boston Center For Adult Education. Sarah is a college essay writing instructor and previously taught poetry and creative writing workshops at Falmouth Public Library, Emerson House, and Celtic Bliss Gallery in Falmouth Heights.
